Johny Schleck

Johny Schleck ( born November 22, 1942 in Assel, community Bous, Remich canton ) is a retired Luxembourgian cyclist.

Between 1965 and 1974, Schleck was a professional cyclist and took, among other things seven times in the Tour de France in part. From 1965 to 1968 he drove for the Pelforth - Sauvage - Lejeune team from 1969 until his retirement at the end of Bic team.

In 1965 and 1973 he was the Luxembourg champion. His best finish in the Tour de France in 1970 when he reached the 19th place overall. In 1973 he drove in the team eventual champion Luis Ocaña Pernia.

Schleck is married and has three sons. Two of them, Andy ( * 1985) and Fränk (* 1980), are also professional cyclist and stood as second and third in the 2011 Tour de France as the first pair of brothers together on the podium.
