Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance

The term Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, abbreviated ISR, the U.S. armed forces describe coordinated activities in the fields of news service (English intelligence ), monitoring ( surveillance ) and reconnaissance ( reconnaissance ) in direct support of a mission. He is part of the doctrine Command and Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C ⁴ ISR) of the U.S. armed forces.

The doctrine has been implemented since May 31, 2005 armed forces across the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance ( ISR JFCC ). This function command is to the United States Strategic Command ( STRATCOM ) was assumed.
