Joint Typhoon Warning Center

The Joint Typhoon Warning Center ( JTWC ), headquartered in Pearl Harbor ( Hawaii), is a department of the United States Navy. The purpose of this meteorological institution is to issue warnings of tropical cyclones in the western and southern Pacific and Indian Ocean for agencies of the United States.
