Jokkmokk Church

The Church of Jokkmokk was built between 1887/88 by the architect Ernst Abraham Jacobsson in Jokkmokk, northern Sweden.

The church is an excellent example of wooden architecture of the late 19th century. The building is square in its layout, with a corner tower rises, while two other corners of inputs be taken with porch. In the fourth corner is the sacristy. Between these corner rooms are located on three sides of galleries, while the fourth side is the chorus to the altar. The church makes an open and tent-like impression, referring to the Sami mainly for construction population of this area.
