Jon Aaraas

Jon Aaraas ( born March 10, 1986 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Career

Aaraas jumped for the Norwegian club Ready / Hopp colleagues. In Ski Jumping Continental Cup, he started for the first time in the season 2002/ 03 on the Toni- Seelos- Olympic hill in Seefeld in Tirol, where he finished in 14th place. He completed his first season starting on the 158th place in the overall standings. In his third season, he was able to secure the 10th place overall, his greatest success. His World Cup debut, he celebrated on 5 February 2005 in Sapporo, Japan. On 27 January 2008 he was able to achieve his best World Cup placing with a 19th place in Zakopane, in the end he reached the 51st rank his best World Cup overall result. In the summer of 2009, he reached an eleventh place in Hakuba the best Summer Grand Prix result of his career. In the season 2009/10 and 2010/11 season he started only in the Continental Cup. Its operations were becoming increasingly rare. In 2010 he went with four competitions at the start ( Iron Mountain, 1 competition, Kranj, 2 and Oslo, 1 ), 2011, only in Vikersund, where he places 15 and 33 occupied. In 2011 he announced that he would end his career.
