Jon Landau (film producer)

Jon Landau ( born July 23, 1960 in New York City, New York) is an American film producer.

Life

After his childhood in New York Jon Landau took during his high school days with his family to California. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1983, Landau initially worked as a post- production manager before with Campus Man for the first time was involved in the production of a film in 1987. Then he was the children involved as co- producer on the films Dick Tracy and Honey, I shrunk and was eventually cooperate Vice President of Feature Productions at 20th Century Fox, where he also began with James Cameron. During this time he oversaw the production of several films, until it reaches the first film co-produced with Cameron with Titanic (1997) and was also honored along with him the Oscar.

In this film followed Solaris (2002 ), and finally Avatar (2009), where Landau was involved as a producer. His next project as a producer will be the film adaptation of the Japanese manga Battle Angel.
