Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, even temporarily shortened from 2004 to Blues Explosion, is a company incorporated in New York City in 1990 American rock band. The band consists of Jon Spencer ( vocals, guitar, theremin ), previously a founding member of the noise band Pussy Galore, Judah Bauer ( guitar) and Russell SimIns (drums). Their music combines elements of rock 'n ' roll, blues, soul, rockabilly, noise, punk rock and hip -hop with occasional use of a theremin solos. The band dispensed with in their music largely on the use of bass instruments such as bass guitar or double bass.
Between 1993 and 2004, the group was signed to Matador Records. Three of published on this label albums reached the Billboard charts, and indeed Now I Got Worry (1996, Square 121), Acme (1998, Course 180) and Plastic Fang (2002, Course 196).
