Jonas Andersson (ice hockey)

Jonas Andersson ( born February 24, 1981 in Lidingö ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since January 2013 with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL under contract.

Career

Jonas Andersson began his career as a hockey player in his youth for AIK Solna, for which he was active until 1999. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the second round than a total of 33 players from the Nashville Predators. First, he played one year with the North Bay Centennials in the Ontario Hockey League before he first for Nashville's farm team, which, in the International Hockey League was Milwaukee Admirals on the ice. Towards the end of the season 1999/2000 In the following season played Andersson for Milwaukee in the IHL. For the 2001/ 02 season, Milwaukee moved to the American Hockey League, where Andersson the following two years was active with the team.
