Jonas Junland

Jonas Junland (born 15 November 1987 in Linköping ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Linköpings HC Hockey Svenska ligands since the summer of 2013.

Career

Jonas Junland began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Linköpings HC, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the season 2005/ 06. He was point and impunity in four games. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the third round than a total of 64 players from the St. Louis Blues. First, the defender however, a further two years stayed with his hometown club, with which he was runner-up in the seasons 2006 /07 and 2007/ 08 respectively. From 2008 to 2010 he was in a total of four games for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League on the ice and gave it two assists. However, the entire rest of the time he spent at their farm team in Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. In Peoria, he was a fixed size, and was rewarded in 2009 with, among others, to participate in the AHL All-Star Classic.

For the 2010/11 season Junland returned to Sweden, where he held a contract with Färjestad BK, with whom he immediately became Swedish Champion. He was bound by Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League for the 2011/12 season.

In October his running contract was terminated with Barys and Junland he received a contract with the Pelicans of the SM- liiga, completed in the sequence but only a few games for the club.

Internationally

For Sweden Junland took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 2007. With this in seven games, he scored a goal and an assist each.
