Jonaswalde

Jonaswalde is a municipality belonging to a county in the extreme south of the Thuringian district Altenburger Land. It belongs to the administrative community Upper Sprottental.

Geography

Geographical location

Jonaswalde is located at the transition from Ronneburger agricultural and mining area to the Upper Pleissenland. The community is primarily used for agriculture, only on the southern edge of the township, there is a forest. In the south of the community of the upper reaches of the Heukewalder sprat, the springs near the municipal border with the United Pillingsdorf runs. The nearest towns are Crimmitschau (8 km east), Ronneburg (8 km north-west ) and Schmölln (8 km north-east ).

Neighboring communities

Adjacent communities are Heukewalde, Thonhausen and Vollmershain Altenburger in the county land, Rücker village in the administrative district Greiz and the city Crimmitschau Saxon district Zwickau. The city Crimmitschau limited only indirectly with its districts Mannichswalde and Blank grove.

The municipality consists of the villages Jonaswalde and Nischwitz.

History

Jonaswalde was first documented in the period 1181-1214. From 1826 to 1920 Jonaswalde belonged to Saxony- Altenburg and was since 1900 the District Office Ronneburg belonging. From 1922 to 1952, the village belonged to the district of Gera, and then came to the circle Schmölln.

Population Development

1910 lived in Jonaswalde 232 inhabitants, together with Nischwitz there were 529 1933 Jonaswalde 213 and Nischwitz 249 inhabitants. In 1939 there were 214 or 218 inhabitants.

Parish council

Since the local elections of 7 June 2009, the council is composed as follows:

  • FFW Nischwitz: 4 seats ( 64.6 %)
  • FFW Jonaswalde: 2 seats ( 35.4 %)

The turnout was 59.8 %.

Mayor

The acting mayor until 2012 Rolf Matthes ( FFW ) was in 1969 elected to the council and was from 1971 to 1974 and from 1978 to incumbents. 6 May 2012 Google André Vohs was elected as the new mayor.

Economy and infrastructure

Jonaswalde is connected via the county road K 504 to the junction of the A Schmölln 4 at Schönhaide. From Nischwitz the K 504 leads south to Thuringia and Saxony's border with Blank grove. The K 502 leads from Nischwitz about Heukewalde to Posterstein. More local connecting roads lead from Jonaswalde after Heukewalde and Vollmershain and of Nischwitz on large Pillingsdorf by birdsong. The municipality is located in the Central German transport network and is connected via the trains running on weekdays except Saturdays bus lines 355 Schmölln- Untschen - Thonhausen and 357 Schmölln- Selka - Weissbach - fire Rübel - Schönhaide - Thonhausen - Nischwitz the THÜSAC passenger transport company. The nearest train station is located in the north situated four kilometers Nöbdenitz.
