Jonathan Firth

Jonathan Firth ( born April 6, 1967 in Essex, England ) is a British actor.

Life and achievements

Firth graduated in 1989, London's Central School of Speech and Drama. He made his debut in 1990 in one of the main roles in the mini TV series Centrepoint. In the comedy American Friends (1991 ) he appeared alongside Michael Palin, among others, and Alfred Molina. In 1994, he starred in the award-winning mini TV series Middlemarch. In 1997 he appeared in the pilot episode of the Midsomer Murders series. In the film drama Victoria & Albert ( 2001), in the Firth appeared alongside Victoria Hamilton, Peter Ustinov, John Wood and Jonathan Pryce, he played Prince Albert. Another main role - alongside Joseph Fiennes, Alfred Molina and Peter Ustinov - he played in the biopic Luther ( 2003).

Firth's older brother is the Academy Award winner Colin Firth, who is also an actor.
