Jonathan Hale

Jonathan Hale (actually Jonathan Hatley, born March 23, 1891 in Ontario, Canada, † February 28, 1966 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, United States) was a Canadian film actor who mitspiele in over 200 feature films.

Life

Jonathan Hale was born in Canada and was, until the beginning of his film career in the diplomatic service works. In 1934 he had his first roles in the film, however, often only small roles or undisclosed cameo appearances. Mid-1930s was followed by minor and major roles. On television, he starred in several television films and series. His most famous film is the Hitchcock thriller Strangers on a train from the year 1951.

On February 28, 1966, he committed suicide by shooting himself.
