Jonathan Hutton

Jonathan M. Hutton (also: Jon ) is a British zoologist, biogeographer and Director of the UNEP Conservation Monitoring Centre in Cambridge and Regional Director of the Africa Programme of UNEP.

Jonathan Hutton received his BA from Jesus College, Cambridge and his doctorate on crocodile ecology at the University of Zimbabwe in 1984. Hutton worked 20 years in conservation projects in various African countries. He then worked for 20 years for various organizations (NGOs and government organizations ). In 2007 he was appointed Honorary Professor of Sustainable Resource Management at the University of Kent.
