Jonathan Kestenbaum, Baron Kestenbaum

Jonathan Andrew Kestenbaum, Baron Kestenbaum, of Foxcote in the County of Somerset (* August 5, 1959 in Tokyo ) is a British business leaders and Labour Party politician, who is a life peer member of the House of Lords since 2011.

Life

After schooling and subsequent studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science graduated Kestenbaum postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge and a further study of business economics at the Cass Business School, where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Kestenbaum, who completed further studies at Harvard Business School, in 1991 Director of Administration in the new Chief Rabbi of Britain and the Commonwealth of Nations, Jonathan Sacks office, and remained in this position until 1996. Moreover, he was managing director of the United Jewish Israel Appeal ( UJIA ) and chief of Staff of the entrepreneur Ronald Cohen, one of the main financial supporter of the Labour Party. He also served as CEO of the private equity firm Apax Partners, as well as to 2005, founded as Chief Executive Officer of the 2003 by Ronald Cohen The Portland Trust.

Following was Kestenbaum, the trustee of Rowley Lane Recreational Trust was, from 2005 to Chief Executive Officer of NESTA, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts ( National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts ) 2010. He is also a member of the board of private digital marketing agency Profero as well as board member of the Authority for technology strategy ( Technology Strategy Board ) since 2008. Since 2010, he acts both as a Chief Operating Officer ( COO) of RIT Capital Partners PLC and Chairman of Five Arrows Ltd.

By Letters Patent of January 24, 2011 Kestenbaum was raised as a life peer with the title Baron Kestenbaum, of Foxcote in the County of Somerset in the peerage. Shortly thereafter, took place on January 26, 2011 his Introduction ( Introduction) as a member of the House of Lords. In the upper house he belongs to the Group of the Labour Party.
