Jonathan Liebesman

Jonathan Liebesman ( born September 15, 1976 Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South African director.

Career

Liebesman studied at the South African School of Film and Drama. 1996 convinced him his cousin, who studied at the University of New York to enroll at Tisch School of the Arts.

His first film, " Genesis and Catastrophe ", based on Roald Dahl's short story of the same name. The only eight-minute film for which he also wrote the screenplay himself, earned him the attention of Hollywood, for which he had hoped. He won prizes at the Hollywood Film Festival 2000 and the Austin Film Festival.
