The revenge of the white Indian is a Western drama by Enzo Castellari from the year 1993. Eponymous character and story are based on Castellaris spaghetti western Keoma (1976). This in turn suggests the film a wide berth to the genre classic Django. In all three Western Franco Nero plays the protagonist.

Action

The family of the young Jonathan Kowalski is murdered by a gang of criminals. Jonathan escapes the massacre by hiding in a bear cave. There he meets a young bear who is also an orphan. Together with him grows on Jonathan until he is picked up by an Indian tribe and as a son brought up by the chief. Although he can compete in the trunk and win the love of the beautiful Indian Shaya, torments him increasingly the unpunished crimes against his family. When the rich oil magnate Fred Goodwin wants to drive the Indian tribe from their land, Jonathan takes on a desperate struggle against Goodwin's armed mob. He is captured and crucified on a church steeple.
