Benin turning Yann Jonathan Pitroipa ( born April 12, 1986 in Ouagadougou ) is a Burkina Faso football player who is under contract with the French first division side Stade Rennes.

Career

Clubs

Pitroipa began in the football academy " Planète Champion International " in Ouagadougou playing football, in which he wrote his former Freiburg teammate Wilfried Sanou was formed. Earlier in his career Pitroipa played in the team of the Academy in the second Burkinabe league.

After a trial, he received a first professional contract dated to June 2006 the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg in July 2004. In his first Bundesliga season, he came to a serious illness not right for the course and was only four times off the bench. Only after the relegation of SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga 2, he rose in the second half of the season 2005/06 in the starting eleven.

In January 2008 Pitroipa signed a valid contract until 30 June 2012 at Hamburg and moved to season 2008/ 09 free for this. On 4 April 2009, he scored the 1-0 winning goal against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim his first Bundesliga goal. In the 2009/10 season he scored three goals in 20 games, including 8 August 2009 against his former club SC Freiburg.

During the summer break in 2011 Pitroipa joined the French first division side Stade Rennais, in which he received a valid contract until 30 June 2013.

National

On 7 October 2006, he graduated as part of qualifying for the African Cup of Nations 2008 against the selection Senegal his first cap for the senior team. With this, he was second at the 2013 Africa Cup after Burkina Faso was defeated in the final of selection Nigeria 0:1. Pitroipa was named " Player of the Tournament ".
