Jonathan Wallace

Jonathan Wallace ( born May 16, 1986 in Huntsville, Alabama ) is an American professional basketball player. Since the 2013/14 season the point guard stands at the WALTER Tigers Tübingen under contract.

Career

High School and College

Wallace went to the Sparkman High School in Harvest, Alabama. There he was able to achieve an average of 16.5 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. On the side he was, among other things also quarterback of the football team and school representatives. Then Wallace was recruited from Georgetown University. In his third year he led the team with the future NBA players Roy Hibbert and Jeff Green to in the Final Four. He is both in terms of hit rate ( 43.3 %), and the agreements made throws ( 240), Georgetown's best three-point shooter of all time. He finished college with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and sports management from as a minor.

Professional career

After four years at the College of the 1.87 m wide Guard signed a contract in 2008 played in the Slovenian first division club KK Olimpija Ljubljana. In February 2009, Wallace joined the German Bundesliga EWE Baskets Oldenburg. With the "Thunder Birds" he immediately won the German championship. For the 2009/10 season he returned to the United States, where he played in the NBA Development League for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

In August 2010, Wallace signed a one -year contract with the German ProA -division club FC Bayern Munich, which was extended by the rise in the BBL for another year. Originally it was planned more than shooting guard in Munich, but after long-term injury by Steffen Hamann in the first game of the season 2010/11 he was playing more than a point guard, his ancestral position. After serving in the National Basketball League only came off the bench during the season 2011/2012 and its operating time was shortened, Wallace left the club after the season and joined the Belgian League to Belfius Mons -Hainaut Hainaut.
