Jones-Emberson 1

VV 47, also known as Jones - Emberson 1 ( JnEr 1) or PK 164 31 ° .1 known ( and erroneously etc. as NGC 2474-75 ), is a galactic planetary nebula in the constellation Lynx. He belongs to the apparently larger planetary nebulae and correspondingly has a low surface brightness. The white dwarf in the center may be a PG -1159 - star.

The fog was it discovered in 1939 by Boris Alexandrovich Vorontsov Weljaminow and independently by Rebecca B. Jones and Richard Emberson which these mistake with the NGC entries NGC 2474/2475 identified, which in fact describes a few arc minutes south located pair of galaxies.
