Joni Eareckson Tada

Joni Eareckson Tada (born 15 October 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA) is an American author and artist.

Biography

Joni Eareckson is the youngest of four sisters.

On July 20, 1967, it withdrew in a swimming accident in the Chesapeake Bay a broken neck between the 4th and 5th cervical vertebrae. Since that day, she is Tetraplegikerin, with no prospect of a cure. Joni was first in the city hospital, later treated in rehabilitation hospitals Green Oaks and Rancho Los Alamos. In 1979, she founded Joni and Friends International Disability Center, a Christian relief organization for the disabled. She has a consultative status with the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization in the field working with disabled people.
