Jonny Flynn

Jonny William Flynn ( born February 6, 1989 in Niagara Falls, New York ) is an American professional basketball player.

NBA

After two years at Syracuse University, Flynn joined the NBA. He was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 6th place. In his rookie season, Flynn started in 81 games in the Star baptism position, scoring 13.5 points and 4.4 assists per game, respectable values ​​. As a reward, he was appointed to the second NBA All- Rookie Team.

The 2010/11 season was less promising. Flynn's operating time was reduced and his stats fell in all areas.

During the NBA Draft 2011 Flynn was transferred to the Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas in exchange for rookie Brad Miller to the Houston Rockets. On March 15, 2012 Flynn was transferred together with Hasheem Thabeet and a second-round draft pick in exchange for Marcus Camby to the Portland Trail Blazers. In Portland, he failed to establish himself in the solid rotation and received the 2012/13 season a new contract. Flynn then moved within the league to the Detroit Pistons, but was discharged before the start of the season.

Flynn then moved to Australia and signed a contract with the Melbourne Tigers of the National Basketball League ( NBL ) until season's end.

In the summer of 2013, Flynn tried again in the NBA to get a foothold and was present at preparations for the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers, but managed not to jump in the final squad. In the autumn he then signed a contract with Sichuan Blue Whales in the Chinese Basketball League.
