Jonny Hector

Jonny Hector ( born February 13, 1964 in Malmö) is a Swedish chess player.

Life

The chess games he learned at the age of 14 years. He is married to a Dane and lives in Copenhagen. He has one child (* 2004). 1991 and 1997, he was awarded the Schack Gideon, a once a year Prize awarded by the Swedish Chess Federation, which is named after Gideon Ståhlberg.

Individual successes

In 1984 he was in Stockholm Swedish chess master. In 1989 he won with 1.5 points ahead of Igor Rausis and Heikki Westerinen the International Tournament in Gausdal. When Rilton Cup in Stockholm he could never win, but recorded several good placings: 1989/90 5th, 1990/91 3rd place, 1992/93 2nd place, 1993/94 2nd place and 2000/ 01 8th Place. Club teams

From 1994 until the end of the commitment of the club sponsor after the 2002/ 03 season he played in Germany at SV Lübeck. Jonny Hector is known for interesting openings. His playing style is aggressive with deep knowledge of little-known gambit play. So he is like the Goering Gambit, the Schara - Hennig Gambit, the Desprez Opening the Breyer Variation in the Vienna Game, the Sleipner Opening, Sicilian Paulsen in the variant and the Neo - Archangelsk variant of the Spanish defense one.
