Jordan national basketball team
The Jordanian national basketball team represented the Kingdom of Jordan in basketball internationals of Lords.
History
Since the 1980s, Jordan is a regular participant of the basketball Asia Championship. Although the Jordanian team plays along with the continental championships for many years, succeeded long time no qualification for the Olympic Games or World Championships. Reached only at the Asian Championships 2009 Jordan with the third place, the first medal placement. So Jordan was qualified for the 2010 World Cup. There, however, different from Jordan in the first round. The best result so far reached Jordan at the Asian Championships in 2011 with a second place. This was also the pre-qualification for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the final qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in Venezuela in June 2012, Jordan did not survive the first round turn and retired.
