Jordan Parise

Jordan Robert Parise ( born September 19, 1982 in Faribault, Minnesota) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with HC Valpellice in the Italian Serie A1 since summer 2012.

Jordan's father, Jean -Paul ran in the 1960s and 1970s as a winger for the National Hockey League team Minnesota North Stars and New York Islanders and collected in 890 regular season games of the regular season 594 points scorer. Jordan's younger brother Zach plays in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild.

Career

Jordan Parise began his career in the season 2001/ 02 the United States Hockey League for the Chicago Steel. For the following season, he moved to league rivals Waterloo Black Hawks, before he began his studies at the University of North Dakota, and for three seasons aground in their hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. There he held after his graduation within the school career record for lowest Gegentorschnitt with 2.14 goals against per game.

In the season 2006/ 07 he moved to the American Hockey League with the Lowell Devils and convinced in his first year, but broke his achievements in the following season, so he only came to a total of eighteen missions. In the summer of 2008 he received a contract offer from the Austrian first division team and officiating at this time master EC Red Bull Salzburg and moved to Europe to give his career a new impetus. Although he was not to be found in the leading group of the best goalkeepers in the league, he played a balanced season and eventually won the runner-up title with the club.

For the following season, he returned to North America, and together with Adam Berkhoel at the Wheeling Nailers, the Torhüterduo. In December, he finally accepted a contract offer from the EC KAC and played with it again until 2010 in the Austrian league, before he left the club for the 2010/11 season again. In September 2010, Parise took part in the training camp of the New York Rangers, and was subsequently sent to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Two months later, he signed a contract with Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen. In early October 2011, he received a temporary contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen in the 2nd Hockey League. In December 2011, he joined the DEL to the Augsburg Panthers. This was followed in the summer of 2012, the change in the Italian Serie A1, where he signed with HC Valpellice.
