Jordan Schroeder

Jordan Schroeder ( born September 29, 1990 in Prior Lake, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player. Since March 2010 he is with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League ( NHL) under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League ( AHL ) on the position of the right winger. At international level, Schroeder earned with the U.S. national team, among others, at the U20 World Youth Championship 2010, the gold medal.

Career

Career as a high school and college players

Jordan Schroeder played in his youth, among others, for the Saint Thomas Academy, a high school and military academy near St. Paul in Minnesota. The Saint Thomas Cadets, he won the high school championship of Minnesota in 2006. Jordan Schroeder represented his country with the U.S. national team for the first time at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2007. Schroeder was behind his team-mate Colin Wilson and James van Riemsdyk third best points scorer of the competition. In the U18 World Youth Championship in the following year he took his team to third place.
