Jordin Tootoo
Jordin Tootoo John Kudluk ( Inuktitut: ᔪᐊᑕᓐ ᔮᓐ ᑲᑦᓗᒃ ᑐᑐ Juatan Jaan Katluk Tutu, born February 2, 1983 in Churchill, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since 2012 he plays for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League. His brother Terence was also a professional hockey player.

Career
Jordin Tootoo played from 1999 to 2003 four seasons for the Brandon Wheat Kings long in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 in the fourth round to 98th from the Nashville Predators. Tootoo became the first Inuit, which was drafted by a National Hockey League franchise. He was also the first Inuit, who played an NHL game.
His first season for the Nashville Predators, he played in the game 2003 / 04, as he had done at first made the leap from the Brandon Wheat Kings to Nashville Predators without have played in between with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League. This brought Tootoo, but during the lockout in the 2004/05 season after. In the season 2005/ 06 Tootoo did not manage again to jump back to the NHL, but first had to deny some games for the Milwaukee Admirals before he was again brought back to Nashville. On 21 July 2006 he signed a new two year contract with the Predators.
In November 2013 Tootoo was placed on the Waiver and plays up to a possible change for the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL.
