Jörg Stübner

Jörg Stübner ( born July 23, 1965 in Freiberg, District Karl- Marx-Stadt ) is a retired German football player. He is 47 -fold GDR national team.

Life

Stübner learned the trade of machinery and plant fitter. He began in 1973 to play football at the BSG Motor Halle and in 1979 delegated to SG Dynamo Dresden, where he shot as a midfielder in 177 DDR - Oberliga games 14 goals. With Dynamo Dresden Stübner twice champion ( 1988/89 and 1989/ 90) and three times fdgb Cup winner was. In the 1988/89 season Dynamo Dresden reached the semifinals of a European cup competition for the first time. In the Semi Finals of the UEFA Cup then VfB Stuttgart was the last stop. Overall Stübner denied 29 European Cup games ( 2 goals) for Dynamo Dresden. Stübner played until 1993, five times in the 1st Bundesliga for Dynamo Dresden. Later he played with FC Sachsen Leipzig and FC Neubrandenburg and SV Eresburg - Obermarsberg. Stübner lives in Dresden.

National

Jörg Stübner was used in 47 games of the GDR national football team. In the World Cup qualifier on 17 November 1984 against Luxembourg (5-0 ), he made his debut for the senior team. His departure on 12 September 1990 in a 2-0 away win against Belgium in Brussels was simultaneously also the last 'A' match of the GDR. In addition to 30 international friendly games Stübner was present in 12 World Cup and European Championship qualifiers 5, where he missed both 1986 and 1990 FIFA World Cup and 1988 European Football Championship finals with the selection of the GDR. He scored his only goal on 13 April 1988, in a friendly match against the Bulgarian national team ( 1:1) in Burgas.
