Jorge de la Vega

Jorge de la Vega ( born March 27, 1930 in Buenos Aires; † August 26, 1971 ) was an Argentine painter.

De la Vega studied in Buenos Aires architecture. To painting, he came as an autodidact. From 1961 to 1965 he was a member of the artist group Nueva Figuración. In his abstract paintings in principle also evidence of representational can pop up. His works hang in several museums in Argentina, as well as in the Phoenix Art Museum, the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil ) and the Art Museum of the Americas at the OAS in Washington, DC.
