Jorge Farinacci

Jorge Aurelio " Fari " Farinacci Garcia ( born 1949 in San Germán, Puerto Rico; † August 26, 2006 in San Juan, Puerto Rico ) was a Puerto Rican Socialist politician.

The study of political science, he graduated with a bachelor's degree. In 1976 he was one of the founders of the Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores Puertorriquenos ( PRTP ).

In order to finance the political activities of his party, he committed with party members in 1983 a raid on a branch of Wells Fargo Bank, for later he was serving a three year prison sentence.

The outspoken advocates of independence of Puerto Rico and avowed opponents of the Bush administration was one of the last speakers of the Socialist Front of Puerto Rico.
