Jorge Jesus

Jorge Fernando Pinheiro de Jesus ( born July 24, 1954 in Amadora ) is a Portuguese football coach, who currently is under contract with the record champions Benfica.

As a teenager, was actively Jorge Jesus at CF Estrela Amadora and Sporting Lisbon, then mostly as a midfielder, among others at SC Olhanense, Spain, União Leiria Vitória Setúbal, SC Farense and CF Estrela Amadora.

His greatest success as a coach, he scored with a Cup Final Participation with Belenenses Lisbon in 2007 - 0-1 against Sporting Lisbon - and 2008, reaching the fourth round of the UEFA Cup with Sporting Braga - 0:0, 0:1 against Paris Saint Germain. At the end of the 2008/2009 season, he spent 700,000 euro to Benfica and celebrated with the record champions 2010 the first Portuguese championship since 2005.
