José González (singer)

José González (born 1978 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He was awarded the " Winner of the European Border Breaker Award". González is also lead singer of the Swedish band Junip.

Career

González was born the son of Argentine immigrants, grew up in Gothenburg and now lives in the Haga District. With his debut single Crosses he reached in October 2003, # 4 on the Swedish charts, his first album even rose to No. 2

Only one and a half years of delay, the album was also released in the UK and the USA. Not least thanks to the use in the popular American television series The OC, González became known internationally. His cover of Heartbeats, originally by The Knife, was in a commercial for a liquid crystal display screen of Sony, in the fourth season of the American television series One Tree Hill, in the fifth season of the American television series Bones - The Knochenjägerin, as well as in the film idiot used. End of September 2007 he released his latest album In Our Nature. First, some new songs were released on José's MySpace page.
