José Mari

José Mari ( born December 10, 1978 in Seville, real name José María Romero Poyón ) is a Spanish footballer who currently plays for Xerez CD.

Career

José Mari was here as a player of the Spanish national football team at the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000. In Italy, he played for AC Milan, after which he was loaned to Atlético Madrid in the 2002/03 season. This was followed in the summer of 2003, the move to Villarreal CF, where he was a key player. When Intertoto Cup José Mari triumphed with his team when they reached the third place. Since summer 2007, Jose Mari plays for Real Betis, where he did not progress beyond the role as a reserve player.

In the 2008 /09 season he moved to Gimnàstic de Tarragona and a year later to Xerez CD in the Segunda Division.

When AC Milan, José Mari was not, as usual, will wear the number 14, but the number 41, in honor of his idol Johan Cruyff.
