José Ovejero

José Ovejero ( born April 12, 1958 in Madrid ) is a Spanish author.

Life

José Ovejero studied geography and history, and conducted research on the ancient Egyptian religion. He worked for several years after completing his studies in Bonn, then in 1998 in Brussels as a conference interpreter. He returned as a translator to Madrid.

Overjero 1993 published a book of poems about Henry Morton Stanley: Biografía del Explorador, winning once recognizing the " Premio Ciudad de Irun ". Overjero wrote in different genres and received in 2005 for the novel Las vidas ajenas the Premio de Novela Primavera.

2013 Ovejero received the Premio de Novela Alfaguara for La invención del amor.
