Jose Rizal Memorial State University

The Jose Rizal Memorial State University is located on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. The university is regarded as a major educational institution in the administrative region of Zamboanga del Norte, which is the carrier of the University at the same time. The University is divided into five locations in the communities Dapitan City, Dipolog City, Siocon, Katipunan and Tampilisan. The headquarters of the University is located at the Main Campus in Dapitan City, in the Gov. Guading Adaza Street, Barangay Sta. Cruz.

Faculties

The Jose Rizal Memorial State University hosts various faculties, these are divided into high school and technical college areas, as well as vocational education in colleges. These are the colleges: Arts and Sciences, Education, Engineering, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Marine Education, Agriculture, Criminology, Industrial Technology, Law and Graduate School. During the period 2009-2010 a total of 344 study courses were offered at the various locations.

History

The University's history began on July 4, 1947 as the city government of Dapitan the Dapitan Junior High School opened. On 1 July 1960, the school was renamed in 2436 with the entry into force of the Republikgesetzzes in the Rizal Memorial National Vocational School ( RMNVS ). In 1986 the school was upgraded and merged with the Zamboanga del Norte School of Arts and Trade ( ZNSAT ) in Dipolog City and the Siocon National Vocational School in the administration, it was the Jose Rizal Memorial State College ( JRMSC ). It was the only higher education institution in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. In 2000, the State College to the Katipunan National Agricultural School ( KNAS ) and the Zamboanga del Norte National Agricultural College ( ZnAc ) has been extended in Tampilisan and created the current organizational structure.
