José Sand

José Sand ( 2011)

José Gustavo Sand ( born July 17, 1980 in Bella Vista, Corrientes ) is an Argentine football player. He currently plays for Racing Club in the Primera División.

Club career

José Sand played in his youth when Argentine giants River Plate CA. In 1999 he moved to CA Colón, there came only sporadically used, which is why he is already a year later went to the then second division club Independiente Rivadavia. In this club he was even shorter. After half a year he moved sand to Brazil to EC Vitória. A year later he returned to his native Argentina to Defensores de Belgrano. 2004 joined the now 23- year-old striker back to his youth club CA River Plate and was able to prove for the first time as a regular player. After one and a half years, he then went to league rivals Banfield, where once again he played only one year and then moved back to CA Colón, for which he had already played at the beginning of his career. Since 2007 he plays for Lanus with whom he 2007 Apertura Primera División won. With his 15 goals this season in 16 games he was going instrumental in this success. Overall, José sand should shoot 50 goals in 67 games for Lanús before transferring to the United Arab Emirates in 2009. Meanwhile, the striker plays for Racing Club.

National

On 15 October 2008 he was appointed for the first time in the Argentine national football team due to its excellent performance in Lanús and also as a replacement for the suspended Carlos Tévez.
