Josef Ackermann (Journalist)

Josef Ackermann ( born January 31, 1896 in Munich, † August 22, 1959 in Lucerne, Switzerland ) was a German journalist.

Life

Between 1933 and 1945, Ackermann was imprisoned with interruptions in the concentration camps Dachau, Buchenwald and Dora -Mittelbau. After the collapse of the Third Reich, he was in Munich in 1945 Director of the Urban Intelligence Service. In April 1948, he was founder and editor of the Munich City Gazette.

Ackermann was for many years the Association of Professional Journalists in Bavaria as chairman before.

From 1950-1955 Ackermann was a member of the Bavarian Senate.
