Josef Bucher

Josef Bucher ( born August 19, 1965 in Friesach, Carinthia ) was an Austrian politician ( AAF ) and tourism merchant. He was from 2008 to 2013 club chairman of the Alliance for the Future Parliamentary Club and 2009-2013 Federal Alliance chairman of the AAF.

Education and vocational training

Josef Bucher began his education in 1971 in the elementary school of Friesach, changed in 1975 in the high school of his native town and attended 1979-1980 the trade school in Althofen. 1980-1983 Bucher was on the hotel school Villach 1983 to 1986 he studied at the Federal College of Tourism Occupations in Bad Ischl, where he graduated in 1986 with the Matura. After Booker did his military service.

Career

After his training was Bucher between 1988 and 1991 at the Hotel Bristol, Hotel Ananas and MS Vista Fjord active and in 1991 managing partner of families Bucher GmbH - Metnitztalerhof. Political career and functions

Josef Bucher worked between 1997 and 2003 in the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, including as a member of the Section line Kammerrat and tourism. Since 2001 he is board member of the Economic Society of Carinthia and was between 2000 and 2006 Member of the Presidium of Austria advertising. Bucher is a member of the board of Carinthia advertising and Supervisory Board of Tourism Holding Carinthia since 2002. Since 2005 he has also been Chairman of Carinthia advertising and Tourism Holding Carinthia and was nigh 2005-2006 State Director of Tourism of the Province of Carinthia.

Josef Bucher retired on 20 December 2002 for the Freedom Party in the House of Representatives and endorsed by the party split the AAF. In the national elections he was re-elected over the country Carinthia nomination for the National Council. Bucher 2005 took over as spokesman for the areas of finance, budget, tourism and the Court between 2006 and 2008 and was Chairman of the Tourism Committee.

In the legislative period to 2013 he was a member of the following committees: Finance Committee, Permanent Subcommittee of the Budget Committee, Main Committee, Standing Joint Committee within the meaning of § 9 of the Financial Constitution Act 1948, the Standing Subcommittee of the Main Committee, Permanent Subcommittee in ESM Affairs, Budget Committee.

Bucher was elected on 22 October 2008 unanimously elected chairman of the AAF club. Previously, Stefan Petzner had been considered favorite for this position. He describes himself as a liberal, liberal, and counts himself to civil rights.

On 16 April 2009 Bucher was nominated by the board of AAF as the new party chairman. He was elected at a party congress as successor to the late party leader Jörg Haider 26 April 2009 with 99.4 percent of the delegates' votes.

As a result of the spin-off members of the " Freedom Party in Carinthia " ( substantial parts of the EX- AAF Carinthia members changed the FPK ) and connecting these was the federal FPÖ Josef Bucher on January 30, 2010 in a founding convention of the new AAF Carinthia with 99, 6 % ( with only one invalid vote ) elected the state Chairman in Carinthia.

Three days after the national election in 2013, in which the AAF missed the re-entry into the Parliament, Bucher resigned as party chairman.

Private

Josef Bucher is divorced and the father of three sons.
