Josef Groll

Joseph Groll ( born August 21, 1813 in Vilshofen, † November 22, 1887 ) was a Bavarian brewmaster. He is the inventor of beer Pilsner beer.

Joseph resentment father was a brewery owners and brewers in Vilshofen. He had long experimented with the formulation of a bottom-fermented beer. Joseph Groll also learned the trade of brewer. Josef Groll Treaty on Civil brewery in Pilsen expired on 30 April 1845. His successor as Master Brewer came to 1900 from Bavaria. The younger brother John took over after his return from Pilsen his father's brewery. Joseph Groll died on November 22, 1887 in the home of his daughter Kathi Hutter in Vilshofen. The Grollsche brewery went on to become part of the brewery Vilshofener Wolferstetter today ( 2013) produces a beer called beer Josef Groll.
