Josef Hrabal

Josef Hrabal ( born August 17, 1985 in Přerov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Ocelari Třinec in the Czech Extraliga since 2009.

Career

Josef Hrabal began his career in the offspring of Vsetínská hokejová, for the U18 Juniors he played from 1999 in the U18 Extraliga. He was inducted into the U20 team of the club in 2001. During the season 2002 /03 he made his debut at the age of 17 years for the first team of the club in the Czech Extraliga. In parallel, he continued to play for the juniors, but increased its operations from year to year, before he was laid to the root cadres of the men's team from 2005. During the season 2006/ 07 was committed by Severstal Cherepovets Hrabal from the Russian Superleague for which he was active until 2008 and 81 games completed. He convinced the sporting management of its Draft franchise Edmonton Oilers to bring him to North America. There he was at the farm teams of the Oilers, the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League and the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, are used. Shortly before the end of the exchange period, he returned to Europe and completed six games for MODO Hockey. In August 2009, he was obliged by HC Ocelari Třinec, with whom he won the Czech championship at the end of the 2010/11 season. For this success he contributed with 12 points scorer in the playoffs. He also had a plus / minus value of 13, the best rating of all players in the playoffs.

Internationally

Josef Hrabal played from 2001 for the junior national teams of each age level, but has never been nominated for a major international tournament. From 2006 he took part with the Men's National Team at courses, friendly matches and the Euro Hockey Tour and so far completed it 17 times.
