Josef Schwarz

Josef Schwarz ( born May 20, 1942 in Strabowitz, Sudetenland, now Czech Republic ) is a former German track and field athlete (long jump and sprint ).

He started for Post- SV München and TSV 1860 München. In 1965 he became German champion in the 200 meters. His fastest time over 200 meters was 20.9 s in 1966, he finished second at the German Championships in the 100 meters. His best time in the 100 meters was 10.2 s

On 15 July 1970 he presented as the long jump at the IAAF international match Germany - USA in Stuttgart Neckar Stadium with 8.35 m at the same time Weltjahresbestleistung, the European record and a new German record. This was the largest ever size, which was not favored by altitude conditions (such as in Mexico City). In the same year Black won at the German Championships in the long jump. 1967, 1971 and 1972, he reached the second place, respectively. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, he joined together with Hans Baumgartner for the DLV in the long jump, but failed already in the qualification. A year earlier had occupied twelfth place at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki " Sepp " black.

He had a competition weight of 72 kg at a height of 1,81 m.
