Josef Stalder

Josef Stalder Fox ( Sepp Stalder, * February 6, 1919; † 2 March 1991) was a Swiss gymnast.

Stalder took 1948 and 1952 at the Summer Olympics in part. He won a total of seven medals in various disciplines, including in London in 1948 a gold on the high bar. In 1952 he was awarded in Switzerland as an athlete of the year.

The " Stalder straddle " is named after him because he showed the world's first Turner a sliding tackle on the high bar.
