Josef Teichmann

Josef Teichmann ( born August 27, 1972 in Lienz) is an Austrian financial mathematician and professor at the ETH Zurich.

After undergraduate studies in mathematics at the University of Graz ( Master's degree in 1996 ), he completed a doctoral program in mathematics at the University of Vienna. The title of the thesis in 1999 Peter Michor was The Theory of Infinite Dimensional Lie Groups from the Point of View of Functional Analysis. After scientific activity at the Technical University of Vienna, he habilitated in 2002 just there. Since June 2009 he has been a full professor at the ETH Zurich.

In 2005, his promotion prize of the Austrian Mathematical Society and was awarded the 2006 START prize of the FWF.
