Joseph A. Valentine

Joseph A. Valentine ( born July 24, 1900 in New York City, New York, † May 18, 1949 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American cinematographer Italian origin.

Life

Joseph A. Valentine, born Giuseppe Valentino, came after a photographic training at the beginning of the 20s to the film. From 1924 he worked as director of photography and mostly engaged in B- movies. In the last years before his death, he was responsible for the photography of three Hitchcock films as well as for the case of Joan of Arc, for which he received the Oscar for Best Cinematography.
