Joseph Bologna

Joseph Bologna ( born December 30, 1934 in New York City ) is an American actor of Italian descent. Bologna occurs in numerous TV series and movies as a supporting actor, works as a screenwriter, director and producer.

Life

He was born in 1934 in Brooklyn, the son of Italian immigrants, and studied at Brown University. Here he had his first theater experience in the play " Stalag 17 ". Following his lead role in this play, he worked for ten years as an actor. He graduated in History of Art and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps on. In 1965 he married actress Renee Taylor, who became internationally known in the role of the mother in the television series The Nanny later. Together, the two have a son, Gabriel Bologna, who is also active as an actor.

After his marriage Bologna wrote with his wife, the Broadway hit Lovers and other strangers. Together with her, he has written numerous other screenplays and often also worked as an actor in his films.

In 1991 he received along with Matt LeBlanc starred in the series Top of the Heap, a spin -off of the hit series Married with Children. Bologna plays the unemployed Charlie Verducci, who tried together with his son Vinnie to come to more or less legal ways to make money. The series, however, was discontinued after a short time because they could not build on the success of the Terrible nice family.
