Joseph Bottoms

Joseph Bottoms ( born April 22, 1954 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American actor.

Life

Joseph Bottoms comes from a family of actors. His brothers Timothy Bottoms ( born 1951 ), Sam Bottoms ( 1955-2008 ) and Ben Bottoms ( born 1960 ), also working in the film business. He is since 1973 an actor, the most famous film productions in which he was to see are the circumnavigation of the globe (1974 ), Frankenstein's haunted castle (1975 ), Holocaust - The History of White (1978 ) Family, The Black Hole (1979) and Joseph 's Gift (1998). He also stood for television series such as Profiler, Walker, Texas Ranger and VIP - The bodyguards in front of the camera.

For his portrayal of Robin Lee Graham, a 16 -year-old boy who sailed around the world alone in a 23 foot long boat, Joseph Bottoms 1975 won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Actor. The film The Dove ( Sailing around the world, directed by Charles Jarrott ) was also nominated in the category Best Music.
