Joseph Campanella

Joseph A. Campanella ( born November 21, 1927 in New York City ) is an American actor, subscribed to serious, and dignified character set.

Life and work

The narrow, tall (1.85 meters) in New York since the early 50s, one of the bestbeschäftigten television actor of his country. Previously, he had until 1949 the Columbia University visited and subsequently underwent an artistic training at the Lee Strasberg. In January 1954 he was at the theater all his professional debut. At times (1962 /63) was also Campanella theater roles on Broadway in New York ( The Captains and the Kings, A Gift of Time, Hot Spot ).

Since 1952, television began to gain considerably in importance in his career. Campanella was seen over half a century, mainly as a guest star in a significant number of television series, but also took over continuous series roles such as in Mannix and The Bold Ones: The Lawyers. Again and again you occupied it as urban reputable type: he played businessmen, police inspectors, judges and lawyers more than once. Campanella's trips to the movie are not just numerous, and hardly worth mentioning.

Campanella's sonorous, well-trained voice led to engagements as a speaker, such as the late 70s with the Canadian, popular science documentary series Science International.
