Joseph Jackson (screenwriter)

Joseph Jackson ( born June 8, 1894 in Winchester, Kentucky, † May 26, 1932 in Laguna Beach, California ) was an American screenwriter.

Life

Jackson started in the mid 1920s as a screenwriter for the film industry in Hollywood to work and wrote to Afraid to Love (1927 ) until his death five years later the templates as well as screenplays for over 50 films, such as for films such as " Easy Money " ( 1931 original title: SmartMoney), " A foxy crooks " (1932, original title: high Pressure Group) or " journey of no return " (1932, original title: One Way passage).

At the Academy Awards in 1931 he was nominated along with Lucien Hubbard for the Oscar for best original story for easy money.

Jackson was until his death married to the actress Ethel Shannon, one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1923, and had a son with this.
