Joseph Kessel

Joseph Kessel ( born February 10, 1898 in Entre Ríos, Argentina, † 23 July 1979, Avernes, Val- d'Oise ) was a French journalist, adventurer and novelist.

Life and work

Joseph Kessel descended from Russian-Jewish parents. His younger brother, Lazare Kessel (1899-1920) was the biological father of the writer Maurice Druon ( 1918-2009 ).
