The nuclear power plant Farley (English Farley Nuclear Generating Station ), and Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Power Plant is a nuclear power plant with two pressurized water reactors near Dothan in the U.S. state of Alabama. Is operated by the Southern Nuclear Operating Company, owner of the Alabama Power Company, both subsidiaries of the Southern Company.

Block 1

Unit 1 is a pressurized water reactor from Westinghouse. Construction began on 16 August 1972. Commissioning of the reactor was held on 18 August 1977. Block 1 has been built with block 2 as a twin design.

Block 2

The block 2 is a pressurized water reactor from Westinghouse. Construction began on August 16, 1972 to coincide with reactor block 1 On 25 May 1981, the block was taken to the grid. The total cost of construction of Units 1 and 2 are about 1.57 billion U.S. dollars.
