Joseph Sarkis

Joseph (Joe) Sarkis (* 1949) (Arabic: جوزيف سركيس ) is a Lebanese politician and, since July 19, 2005 Minister of Tourism of the Government of Lebanon under Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

He is a leading member of the Lebanese Forces. From 1988 to 1994 he was a member of the Politburo of the Kata'ib, but distanced himself from the party after its leadership had taken a pro-Syrian stance. He was active in the Lebanese Forces and was established in 2002 in charge of the party for Beirut.

Sarkis is a civil engineer with a degree from the Ecole Supérieure des Ingénieurs de Beyrouth.
